Ownership as in I treat it like my own business? If so, I believe that to be the key to success in any organization. When I work with organizations (mostly NPO’s and locally owned business) we talk about staff that are owners or renters. By this I mean, do the staff take ownership in the organization and act as such. It is interesting to discuss this idea with organization leaders. They immediately can see which staff are owners and which are renters.
